Life's update..

It's S's birthday today.. And i'm still home!
:|
No party..
Nothing except a dull boring ED and Rota ED to look forward to..
Meaning a wasted weekend..
The sounds of "Ganpati Bappa Moraya " ringing all around..
Brings cheer.. :)
Google launches its own browser.. Pretty adorable that too..
Studies not really headed anywhere..
People not answering telephone's, not replying to missed calls..

Shortcut to Stardom...

Have your emergency duty on 14th august.
Park car in college parking.
Eat your tiffin and keep it in your car rear seat.
Finish ED at 8 am the next day.
Come out of ward looking half drunk after 24 hrs of no sleep.
Look for car.
Instead find panicky people.
Harakiri everywhere.
Find commando-ish police hysterically checking out your car.
Ask them what they are doing.
Get an answer as a rhetorical question "How does it bother you?"
Tell them that the car belongs to you.
See big huge sighs of relief on their faces!
Look at them quizzingly?!
Get an answer asking you to meet the Dean immediately.
Be treated like a star in the Dean's chamber with everyone wanting to catch a glimpse of you.
Get bored of the scene created.
Go home.
Sleep like a baby.
PHEW! STARDOM IS TIRESOME!

Study! Dear Boy!

Consistent scores of 27/50 and 28/50.... Not good scores... ? Not very bad either... Hopefully the trend of a 1 point increase per test will continue till D-Day!

Wednesday 6 August, 2008

Its always between those two ears!

Right now, I really feel like abusing the entire world... Every single person... Who's tried to come and change the way things have been laid out; in the grand scheme of things...
The soothing music of "Aditi" calms things..

Cryptics...

I hate it when "people" write simple stuff in such a complicated manner that you've got to sit thinking about the million possibilities that it could imply and yet finally land up concluding that the first, simplest, most obvious meaning that you could think of was actually what they were saying in the first place!

The C.S.(G) Vaccine

-This one's dedicated to you C.S.
P.S. No hard feelings....(If u ever read this)

In today's new era, we are proud to announce that we have found a vaccine to attain immunity to C.S.'s barrage of infinite gibberish @ public places. (Read: Henceforth called "The C.S. Virus")

Introduction:

The C.S. Vaccine is a live non-attenuated virus, administered via "live interaction" for immunization against the C.S. Virus. It is generally administered to friends of C.S. who wish to become immune.
In India, the vaccine has been licensed for use from 12 Dec 2007.
It is widely used since introduction of its earliest versions. Over 500 doses have been used in over 2000 students of BJMC, Pune. As with all vaccinations, long-term effects and efficacy are subject to continuing study.
The vaccine is sold by FCS Group as CSV-II currently. We are the whole and sole copyright owners of this vaccine.

Dosage Schedule:

First Dose: The first interaction with C.S.
Second Dose: One year on........
The second dose is not a booster; it is a dose to produce immunity in the large number of people (92-96%) who fail to develop immunity after the first dose.

Booster Dosages: At all parties at public places.

Effectiveness:

Following the primary course of 2 vaccinations, a test may be taken at any public place meet to establish if there has been an adequate response, which is defined as ability to stay calm, quiet, non-irritant after being exposed to 30 min of the C.S. Virus. Such a full response occurs in about 3% of individuals.
A response of anger, shouting, acts like putting ones fingers into one's ears, embarrassment in the presence of the C.S.Virus is considered a poor response, and these people should receive a single booster vaccination at this time.
People who fail to respond should be tested to exclude genetic/behavioral mutations resembling the C.S.Virus. Such people need not take another dose of the vaccine as irreparable damage has already occurred in them.
Poor responses are mostly associated with late life exposure to the C.S.Virus, genetic mutations resembling the C.S.Virus.

Duration of Protection:

Although initially it was thought that there is no protection offered by the vaccine, it has now been found that the vaccine can provide some protection lasting from 12 days to 12 weeks in a small subset of the population.

No one to talk to, no one to discuss stuff with, no one for help..

I'm whiling away all the precious moments of this "free internship." Because i've not found people who have schedules compatible with mine... [:(] Which is no fault of moi's!
It is this weird place, i somehow have to get myself out of...
Lets hope that impossible is indeed nothing!

Amen..

A small prayer on my first cooking expedition at home today..
"May God give everyone
The courage to eat today's meals,
And The strength to survive through them!"
-Amen.

Happiness.. Its not all about the green stuff!

Stare at the sky; thoughtless....

Spot the birds flying against the setting sun....

Glimpse at the yellow coloured sparrow..

Watch a wild flower bloom and give away its myriad of colours..

Stare at the setting sun on the beach...

Catch a rain cloud cover the top of a mountain!

Spot a pattern of sand created by the waves...

Enjoy the green countryside..

Look at the sea sprayed with its water colours!

ALL, PRICELESS!

Is it really justice?

"If we continue to follow history and implement it in the present, I believe we are truly heading for some major disaster somewhere!"
This isn't some quote from somewhere which I have picked up. It is something I truly believe in. It refers to the whole reservation saga surrounding us today.
In today's so called modern era, the idea of a caste based reservation system seems to be foolish! It means that we are not one, we never were one and will never be one big Indian society! Is that not similar to racism? If we unequivocally reject racism, then why support this? And if we can all be one (eg. Supporting Team India in a cricket match); then why divide us for things like education? Shouldn't there be an equal opportunity?
So do I mean that we get rid of reservations all together? NO! What I am trying to say is that we should have reservations; but for the people who really need them the most!
eg. The economically backward.
About the existing reservations, why not "PHASE THEM OUT" instead of continuously phasing in more and more reservations?
eg. If person A from a caste X has availed of the reservation policy(caste based), becomes well to do, then why should his/her children continue to have the same privileges?
So, are we truly doing the nation justice by this caste based system of reservations?

Caffeine for inspiration?

In today's fast moving life, many people believe they need some chemical stimulant for their neurons to light up!
How about this for a change?
